North Korea is a world within a country, secluded from the rest of the world. The call to go into North Korea was realized in July 2001 as we stood at the Chinese - North Korean border remembering His words, the Land Shall be called Canaan Land. CRAM Worldwide went in under the auspices of another group to establish a non-government organization working in an area outside the city of Rajin.
The Canaan Kindergarten was established in July 2004 to serve a rural community allowing up to forty children a place to study and play.
The Canaan Daycare Center was requested b y the local city administration to provide needed child care for working mothers. Construction began in 2006.
The Canaan Medical Clinics were established to provide quality medical care to local villeages around the city of Rajin. The Shin Hae Medical Clinic, dedicated in July 2005 offers primary medical care including dental care. Along with the Bi Pa Medical Clinic, they attend to the medical needs of two thousand residents from four nearby coastal villages. The Yoo Hyun Dong Medical Clinic is currently under construction and will serve a population of four thousand residents.
The Morning Star Children's Home, dedicated in May 2006, is a home for displaced children. It can accommodate up to one hundred children and will provide a place for the children to live in an environment of love.
The Good News Farm was developed in 2004. It has fifty acres of land for growing vegetables and cattle and currently employs eighty-five workers.
The Sonbong Bread Company is located in Sonbong city, near Rajin NK. Our goal is to feed four thousand children in nurseries and kindergartens with fresh bread daily.
The Sonbong Soymilk Company in partnership with CRAM Worldwide will produce soymilk to children in daycare, kindergarten, and first grade. The goal is to feed seven thousand five hundred children with fresh soymilk daily.
