Isaiah 51:16 tells us that God’s hand is a shadow over us, thus comes this poem.
IN THE SHADOW OF HIS HAND
In the Shadow of His Hand
I am covered.
In the Shadow of His Hand
I do abide.
Keeping me,
Protecting me,
Loving me
In the Shadow of His Hand.
He leads me
by that Shadow.
He’s watching carefully over me.
Like a mother hen
covering her chicks,
His Hand covers me.
Enemies abound
ready to swallow me up.
His Shadow
Shields,
His Shadow
Keeps me safe.
Under the Shadow of His Hand
